Updated Nov 9, 2012

KarmakKarmak product owners Adam Madsen and Barb Mitchell graduated from the NADA Dealer Candidate Academy in McLean, Va. on July 27, 2012.

The Academy is a management education and training center for current and future automobile and truck dealers and managers. Led by NADA University, a division of the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA), it is designed to build business performance, leadership skills and customer service in all areas of dealership.

The Dealer Candidate Academy is an 11-month program that includes six one-week classroom sessions at NADA followed by 6 to 8 weeks of in-dealership application and homework between each classroom session. For department managers, an option is provided to sit in on a specific week of the Academy program.

Madsen and Mitchell began the program in September 2011 and were part of ATD Class 025.

NADA University is said to equip dealers and their teams to get results, with the right knowledge, information, coaching and resources to develop both skills and confidence. For moer details go to https://www.nada.org/nadauniversity/academy/.
