New coat protection from Maxion Wheels

Updated Aug 11, 2013

Maxion Wheels announces its customers have expressed significant satisfaction with its exclusive MaxCoat triple-protection coating.

Offered as a standard feature on most wheels in the North American market, Maxion says MaxCoat several distinct advantages: improved durability, reduced maintenance costs and better paint adhesion. The proprietary process involves an undercoating of zinc-phosphate, followed by a mid-coat of epoxy electro-deposition primer (EDP), and finally a premium topcoat, the company says.

The result is corrosion protection that exceeds salt-spray testing requirements per  ASTM B117 standards for “the best standard finish on steel wheels the industry has ever seen,” says Mark Fonte, marketing and sales manager – OE Truck Wheels at Maxion.
