Dayco unveiling new serpentine belt design at HDAW

Dayco Products, LLC says it will unveil a new serpentine belt design at Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week next week at The Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, Nev.

The Dayco Gold Label Asymmetrical Double-Sided Belt, originally engineered for use on Original Equipment applications, is built to meet specific demands on certain heavy duty vehicles, the company says.

“Dayco approaches the market differently from most of its competition, believing that one belt construction will not perform best with all applications,” says Robert Christy, Director of Marketing for Dayco. “We will continue to develop new products, such as this belt, to meet the demands of our customers in the markets we serve.”

The Asymmetrical Double-Sided Belt features an EPDM construction and a reduced overall thickness on the top, or back side, of the belt as compared to a traditional double-sided belt. The reduced thickness, Dayco says, allows for an increase in overall durability while allowing the belt to operate effectively with both flat and grooved pulleys.

HDAW is a four-day, multi-faceted executive business conference specifically tailored for independent heavy duty distributors and their suppliers. More than 300 exhibitors and 2,200 attendees are expected to attend the show, which also includes expert presentations, discussions, educational seminars and networking events.
