Autel announces software update for heavy-duty tools

Autel MaxiSYS heavy duty software updateAutel on Tuesday announced the enhancement of its MaxiSYS software for the heavy-duty marketplace.

According to Autel, the enhanced MaxiSYS now features more than 1,000 new diagnostic updates and bi-directional controls, as well as new trouble code assist resources for technicians for 2019 Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt and International tractors. The update also applies to both MaxiSYS MS908CV and MS906CV tools, the company says.

MaxSYS tools offer all systems diagnostics providing OE Level functionality and advanced service features for all makes and all models in Class 1 (0-6,000 lb.) thru Class 9 (33,000 lb.) vehicles. “This is our largest software update in quantity of new vehicle coverage, new bi-directional functions and new diagnostic updates,” says Daniel Bemiss, Autel marketing director. “We have streamlined the software navigation further to make the interface easier, added new trouble code assist features and added a more detailed AutoSCAN for easier repair assessment.

“The software for the J2534 MaxiFLASH Elite VCI was updated as well, so the technician can easily link to the OE software account to maximize technician resources. This new Autel CV software update applies to both MaxiSYS MS908CV and MS906CV tool models. Technicians just need to confirm their tools are registered and within active software subscription to download the new updates.”
