
Five truck dealers representing more than a dozen commercial truck brands and operating over 200 points of sale are in the running for the 2026 Successful Dealer Award, which will be presented Tuesday during a private awards banquet in Nashville.
Created in 2013, the Successful Dealer Award has grown to become one of the most renowned awards programs across the dealer industry. The award recognizes truck dealers for excellence in many areas beyond just sales, including industry stewardship and leadership, customer service excellence, operational excellence, marketing, training and employee development, civic engagement and more.

California Truck Centers
With a workforce nearly 800 strong and locations across the Golden state, California Truck Centers is a testament to how family values and a commitment to improvement never goes out of style. It’s a culture that perseveres, and this year it has helped make the company a first-time finalist for the Successful Dealer Award.

Kenworth Sales Company
It’s the ultimate recruiting success story. Paccar needed dealers for its newly acquired truck brand, Kenworth. World War II was ending and the truck maker was eager to expand beyond its West Coast roots. W. Jay Treadway wasn’t a Kenworth employee, but as a fleet manager, he valued the brand. The parties joined forces in 1945 and more than eight decades later are still working together for this first-time Successful Dealer Award finalist.

Rush Truck Centers
In 1992, with just four facilities spread across Texas, Marvin Rush and his leadership team — which by then included sons Rusty and Robin — pledged to turn his business into a billion dollar company by 2000. They didn’t have a clue how they were going to do it, but once the goal was set they were committed to it. And now, with the 167 locations, the company is a finalist for the first time for the Successful Dealer Award.
