McEnany, Midwest Wheel earn national recognition for business technology

Steve McEnany and Midwest Wheel Companies were recently honored as winners of the SuperNova Award for the AI & Augmented Humanity during the 11th annual SuperNova Awards from Constellation Research.

The SuperNova Awards are a prestigious recognition for teams building innovative and disruptive programs to create business transformation. The AI and Augmented Humanity category specifically presents an award to the organization, team and individual who apply machines that possess the intelligence and learning capabilities of humans to transform their businesses or mission.

McEnany, Midwest Wheel's vice president of marketing and technology, created an AI parts recommendation engine to solve problems that can arise when ordering a part required for truck repair, that ultimately impacts the customer experience.

Midwest Wheel’s goal is to always deliver the highest quality solutions to its customers. Each salesperson is trained to find the right interdependent parts, but it is a manual process and takes time. Midwest Wheel says the parts recommendation engine optimizes the ordering process by generating the top predictions of additional products. With this, the company says its sales team can immediately suggest the right set of associated parts to include in the order, provding customers the highest quality solutions every time.

McEnany accepted the award in person during the SuperNova Awards Gala Dinner at Connected Enterprise (CCE) on Oct. 27, 2021.

“Receiving the SuperNova Award at the CCE conference was an honor,” he said. “The recognition from such a prestigious technology research team is great for Midwest Wheel and our team.”

"Each year the submissions are more competitive and the judging more intense. We are excited to see the number of successful business transformation projects that have evolved from cloud and data to analytics, automation, and AI,” says Ray Wang, chairman and founder of Constellation Research. “We are seeing the impact of digital move beyond just channels, and shift into sophisticated business models and monetization approaches. This year’s winners reflect the best of the best and these organizations and their teams should be proud of what they accomplished.”
