Ford Pro launched a new AI tool for fleet managers to optimize their vehicle management and drive efficiency into their operations during a press conference Tuesday at Work Truck Week 2026 in Indianapolis.
The company also announced updates to its Super Duty and Transit product line — all of which Executive Director of Sales and Operations Matt Atkenson says are geared to help the company maintain its 41-year streak as the market share leader in the commercial truck space.
Ford Pro AI is a fleet-specific intelligence tool
Built upon customer feedback and interest in artificial intelligence, Ford Pro believes its AI solution will be a game-changer for any fleet looking to save time or money.
“Ford Pro AI is built to extend human capability, not replace it, by bringing responsible, fleet-specific intelligence to help solve real world problems,” says Kevin Dunbar, general manager at Ford Pro Intelligence in teasing the product last week. “Designed to simplify the complex and make the routine effortless, Ford Pro AI takes the millions of data points commercial vehicles can generate — from seatbelt clicks to vehicle health signals and turns them into insights fleet managers can use to act quickly.
“The time our customers get back with Ford Pro AI can have a big impact on their business. This means more time to serve their customers, grow their business and save money.”
Dunbar says the AI product is available via Ford Pro Telematics Software today at no cost to subscribers. Powered by real-time vehicle and driver data via embedded/plug-in modems, Ford Pro AI translates signals into practical recommendations, speeding the path from insight to action and making day-to-day fleet operations easier.
Ford Pro also believes the tool will enable faster answers to vehicle issues and fewer out-of-service events help fleet managers to focus on the things that really matter, all while reducing the day-to-day expenses of operating a fleet.
“This is AI that helps fleet managers remove the guesswork and gives detailed, fleet-specific data and answers to help fleets resolve issues faster,” Dunbar says.

The Transit, which had its best sales year ever in 2025, also is being enhanced, says Atkenson.
Improvements include new digital architecture, a larger screen, enhanced co-pilot safety features, 5G connectivity with over-the-air updates and pairing with Ford’s Vehicle Integration System 2.0, which John Emmert, global director of Ford Pro Products and Marketing, says is “designed to provide less friction, more speed and a seamless experience.”
