
The following employment announcements were made in the trucking industry the week of Jan. 13, 2025:
- Westport Fuel Systems announces Brenda Eprile has retired from Westport’s board of directors.
- MEMA, the Vehicle Suppliers Association, has added four people to its board of directors: Dan Sceli, president and CEO of Westport Fuel Systems; Gino Amador, president of Snap-on Equipment; Randall Scheps, president of Forged Wheels and Howmet Aerospace; and Mark White, president and CEO Shape Corp. Returning to the board for another term are Jon Husby, president and CEO of Husby Industries; Chris Pruitt, president and CEO of East Penn Manufacturing; and Mike Alcala, president of Alcala Systems. MEMA also added Cal Ganda, Aftermarket lead, Continental ContiTech; John Hanighen, president & CEO, Cloyes; and Emily Poladian, president, Bridgestone Mobility Solutions; to its 2025 advisory board.
- Grace Nowakowski is a new administrative assistant for the Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network.
- Truck Centers Inc., has appointed Eric Pettigrew as vice president of sales. The company also announces Vice Chairman Michael Yates will retire after 48 years on Dec. 31, 2025.
- BendPak has named Sean Price as director of quality control, product development and management for the Special Products Division. David Reunert has joined BendPak as director of sales operations. And Tyler Rex has rejoined the company in a new position as senior director of marketing.
- Grote Industries President and CEO Dominic Grote received the Sagamore of the Wabash Award from Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb. The award recognizes those who have made extraordinary contributions to the community and state. It is one of the highest honors Indiana can confer upon a citizen.
- The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Representatives Council of MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers announced its new chair and welcomed two new members to its executive committee. Mike Mowchan, president of Sherman-Pearson Company, will serve as the 2025 council chair, and Ryan Eichhorn, principal at NorthPro Representatives, and Ryan Stronk, president of Western States Marketing, joined the executive committee.
