
Big Tex Trailer Manufacturing is closing its Trailer World location in Cordele, Ga., and laying off 100 workers, the company says in a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act filing with the state of Georgia.
According to the company's website, the location at 502 S. Midway Road is a BigTex Trailer World dealership offering sales, parts and service on Big Tex and CM trailers. The location will be permanently closed, the notice says.

The first separations started in January, the company says.
Big Tex makes utility, equipment, dump and heavy-duty gooseneck trailers along with a variety of other work trailers, cargo trailers and tilt trailers. It is headquartered in Mount Pleasant, Texas, and its trailers are manufactured in Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia and Idaho.
