Great Dane appoints Cohen interim CEO

Mel Cohen was appointed interim CEO of Great Dane, the company announced Monday. 

Cohen is a long-time member of the company's board of advisors and has nearly 40 years of operating leadership and industrial manufacturing.

"His involvement with Great Dane over the years has given him a deep understanding of the business and the industry, and he is positioned to accelerate the execution of our strategy," the company says. 

Rick Mullininx will retire Dec. 31. He will continue in his role as president and chief operating officer through then and will be a key partner in the leadership transition, Great Dane says. The company is still searching for a permanent CEO.
