The American Truck Dealers (ATD) has released its 2026 National & Regional Trends in Compensation, Benefits & Retention report.
ATD says the report enables members to stay current on the latest workforce trends happening in new truck retail industry across both the country and regionally. It features the latest and most comprehensive review of compensation, turnover, retention, benefits, hiring, and demographics trends.
ATD states members may use this report to:
- Get a full picture of who truck dealerships are hiring by generation and gender.
- Understand what benefits truck dealerships are offering to retain and attract talent.
- Find out what happened to turnover and retention by position and department.
- View data on key positions in your region.
- Salary, turnover, and retention information for over 60 job titles and see data broken out by region.
“Thanks to our 2026 ATD Dealership Workforce Study participants, we collected and analyzed 2025 calendar year payroll data which provided us with salary, demographics and turnover data along with responses to a benefits questionnaire,” ATD states. “The questionnaire allowed us to analyze health plan benefits offered, retirement plans, paid time off, hiring trends and more.”
