“TMC strives to advance the professional standards for commercial vehicle maintenance in our industry and has done so for more than 60 years,” says Robert Braswell, TMC executive director. “We have leaders across our organization, but the technicians and executives we honor here set and raise the bar for excellence in this industry every day.”
Mark Louzon, Volvo Trucks; Steve Woodbeck, Bremskerl North America; and Wayne McKitrick, Ferrell Company, were honored as Recognized Associates.
In addition, TMC bestowed a number of individual awards to members:
- Peggy Fisher Study Group Leadership Award: Kenneth Calhoun, Altec Industries
- Excellence in Maintenance Supervision Award: Joe Ard, fleet service manager, Southeastern Freight Lines
- Gerri Murphy Membership Leadership Award: Bo Ward, D&D Instruments
- Study Group Secretary Award: Andrew Krum, Virginia Tech Transportation Institute
In addition, the council announced the graduation of its second group of candidates from the TMC of Tomorrow Leadership Development Program. The program is dedicated to developing future leaders of TMC and the transportation industry.

TMC also announced Stacy Earnhardt, director of asset management, Best Specialized, has been elected 2020-2021 general chairman and treasurer.
“Stacy has been an exemplary member of TMC, including winning the Silver Spark Plug this year,” Braswell says. “His professionalism and commitment to trucking make him an outstanding choice to be TMC general chairman and treasurer.”
Earnhardt served this past year as the council’s vice chairman and chairman of meetings. He succeeds Kenneth Calhoun, fleet optimization manager, Altec Industries.
“I’m honored to accept this position from my fellow TMC members,” Earnhardt says, “I look forward to working with the rest of TMC’s leadership to advance our industry’s goals. I also want to thank Kenneth for his service to our organization.”
Calhoun says, “Being general chairman and treasurer has been an incredible honor for me and I want to thank my fellow TMC members for it. As I hand off the chairmanship of TMC, I want to congratulate Stacy on his election and wish him luck. I’m sure he will be an outstanding leader for our Council.”
