The following employment changes were announced to the trucking industry last week (Dec. 2-8, 2019).
- American Truck Dealers (ATD) announced Ford, Kenworth and Isuzu line representatives have been elected. Jeff Speno, Mission Valley Ford Truck Center, will replace Dan Yglesias, Palmetto Ford, as the ATD Ford Line Representative; Jodie Teuton, Kenworth of Louisiana, will replace Tom Bertolino, NorCal Kenworth, as the ATD Kenworth Line Representative; and Keith Rutherford, Eagle Truck Center, has been re-elected as the ATD Isuzu Line Representative. They will assume their roles on the last day of ATD Show 2020, Monday, Feb. 17.
- BYD has hired Aaron Gillmore, formerly of Tesla and SolarCity, as vice president, Truck Business.
- Mitchell “Mitch” Hewitt has joined Corcentric as vice president of sales for the Great Lakes Region for Capital Equipment Solutions.
- Bus and coach manufacturer NFI Group has selected Pipasu H. Soni as NFI’s next chief financial officer. Soni joins NFI as executive vice president, finance, effective immediately, in a transition role that will lead to him becoming executive vice president and CFO on or prior to March 30, 2020. He will succeed Glenn Asham, who is retiring after 28 years of service with the company.
- Minimizer has hired Debra Lundell as its new director of human resources.
- David A. Thompson, president and CEO, TEC Equipment, has been selected for membership to the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans. The association is a nonprofit educational organization honoring the achievements of outstanding individuals and encouraging youth to pursue their dreams through higher education.
