Mack Trucks announced Monday that it will offer a usage-based leasing option for Mack MD Electric models.

The ElectriFi Subscription, available through Mack Financial Services, will be exclusive to Mack MD Electric battery-electric trucks. It allows customers to pay as they go for miles driven with chassis and body, charging, applicable incentives, physical damage insurance and maintenance costs. Customers will pay a single monthly payment, reducing the customer's upfront investment, Mack says, while lowering long-term risk.

"Mack Trucks is a leader in electrification, and we remain committed to ensuring customers have reliable, durable electric vehicles and the support necessary to operate them," says Jonathan Randall, president of Mack Trucks North America. "Together with Mack Financial Services, we developed this unique program to assist in the deployment of BEVs through a solution that gives customers peace of mind. Customers can run electric trucks knowing that Mack and Mack Financial Services are standing behind them and the product."

ElectriFi terms run from three to six years. It comes with access to Mack Uptime services, including telematics and Mack OneCall, a 24/7 roadside service.

Mack Financial Services will also offer ElectriFi Infrastructure and ElectriFi Lease, and will be able to advise customers on incentives for infrastructure. ElectriFi Infrastructure helps customers in developing charging station design, installation, construction, hardware and software needed for new battery-electric charging facilities. All-inclusive financing is available for customers with vehicles funded by Mack Financial Services.

ElectriFi Lease allows customers to add battery-electric vehicles to fleets with a reduced upfront investment, Mack says. Customers will have access to Mack telematics and a route support services team. The ElectriFi Lease has full lifecycle financing options with renewable five-year terms.

Both the Mack MD Electric and Mack LR Electric refuse model are covered by the Mack Ultra Service Contract, a five-year, comprehensive bumpter-to-bumper service contract. It includes telematics with battery monitoring; a high-voltage battery performance guarantee; all scheduled maintenance and preventative maintenance; all repairs excluding accidents, tires and glass; towing for warrantable failure to the nearest Mack Certified Electric Vehicle dealer; and Mack OneCall.

"Mack and Mack Financial Services have given customers several optimized financing options that will support their businesses," says George Fotopoulos, Mack's vice president and e-mobility business unit leader. "ElectriFi Subscription, the other financing options and the Mack Ultra Service Contract were designed to help remove any hesitancy about financing, service and support that customers might experience as they electrify their fleets."
