Vanair debuted five new products as part of its EPEQ Electrified Power Equipment ecosystem.
Vanair expanded its EPEQ Electrified Power ecosystem with five new products Thursday.
"Every product we're introducing gives fleet operators a way to put money back in their pockets by keeping that engine off, without sacrificing performance," says Dean Stratham, vice president of sales at Vanair.
Vanair is a division of Lincoln Electric.
The new products are:
- The EPEQ Power Center, a self-contained, 48-volt core power module. It consolidates ELiMENT batteries, inverters, a DC-DC converter and shore-power charging into a single enclosure that can be placed in a truck bed, on a van shelf or in other vehicle configurations. The Power Center, unlike the EPEQ Mobile Support Box, does not include a compressor or welder. It functions as a dedicated power hub to which operators connect EPEQ-driven accessories. It's available with or without a protective canopy.
- The EPEQ 12-volt battery and inverter system is designed to extend mobile power to lighter-duty vans, delivery vehicles and custom-upfitted vehicles that need auxiliary power but doesn't require the capacity of the 48-volt system. It has 12-volt ELiMENT lithium iron phosphate batteries in 100 Ah and 200 Ah configurations with pure sine wave inverters in 1,000-watt, 2,000-watt and 3,000-watt models. They provide a power source to prevent auxiliary loads from depleting the vehicle's starting battery for charging tools, run lighting, power laptops and operate 120-volt devices without idling. A 120-volt, 5 CFM air compressor can also be powered with the system.
- The EPEQ solar assist vehicle solar system is a solar panel for work truck applications. It can serve as a continuous battery tender and auxiliary charging source for both the 12-volt and 48-volt EPEQ platforms. It is ordered directly on Vanair equipment and comes factory-installed. Vanair says the panels are flexible, low-profile and durable enough to survive more than 130,000 vibration cycles. The company says fleet data shows solar batter tending can extend battery life by up to 200%.
- The Velion chassis-mount 50kW mobile DC fast charger, made in Cleveland, is paired with an Xcite PTO-driven 33kW generator, enabling DC fast charging any where. It features CCS1 and NACS connectors, a NEMA 3R enclosure and IK08 impact rating. It can also be removed from the truck for use as a stationary charger.
- Vanair also upgraded its 48-volt ELiMENT LiFePO4 batteries with a new IP67-rated design providing protection against dust ingress and temporary water immersion. The batteries also have new mounting configurations that Vanair says improves flexibility for under-chassis and frame-rail applications. It also comes with an updated battery management app that provides real-time monitoring of battery health, state of charge and diagnostics. These batteries will progressively replace 48-volt ELiMENT models across the EPEQ line.
