The Truck Renting and Leasing Association (TRALA) honored the California Trucking Association Tuesday with its prestigious State Trucking Award for outstanding industry representation during its Annual Meeting in Scottsdale, Ariz.
TRALA President and CEO Jake Jacoby presented Eric Sauer, president of the California Trucking Association, with the TRALA State Trucking Award.
“Since its establishment in 1934, The California Trucking Association has been unwavering in its dedication to serving the trucking industry in California, advocating tirelessly for our mutual members,” Jacoby says. “CTA has been a longstanding partner with TRALA, collaborating on various fronts, including tax matters, regulatory actions, and environmental issues involving CARB. Their proactive approach and leadership have provided immense value to our members and the entire trucking industry.”
Sauer was gracious in accepting the award on behalf of his organization, thanking Jacoby and TRALA for recognizing the state association's work "in the trenches" in dealing with CARB regulations and business decisions made in the state that often impact trucking nationwide by "blowing eastward."
The TRALA State Trucking Award, established in 2016, recognizes state partners who contribute to TRALA’s success across all 50 states, particularly on legislative and regulatory matters impacting the industry. This year the TRALA State Trucking Award is sponsored by The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.
