Advantage Truck Group's (ATG's) Haulin' 4 Hunger program expanded deliveries to Meals on Wheels of Hillsborough County, N.H., and made its second annual donation to Manchester's Families in Transition.
ATG's Manchester location delivered 1,040 breakfast bundles to the two organizations. Each meal bag is designed to feed up to eight people and contains breakfast sandwiches, English muffins, cereal, peanut butter and fresh produce donated by Boston Area Gleaners. The dealer says about one in seven children and more than 10% of seniors in New England are experiencing food insecurity.

"Food donations like the Haulin' 4 Hunger drive are about much more than stocking shelves — they help us respond immediately when someone is facing hunger," says Kristin Kostecki, vice president of Meals on Wheels of Hillsborough County. "Every week, our pantry bags provide critical support to older adults and adults with disabilities who may be waiting for meal service to begin, struggling to make food last between deliveries, or experiencing a sudden life crisis. We regularly meet people who have little or no food in their homes and these donations allow us to put nutritious food in their hands right away. The generosity of Haulin' 4 Hunger and its supporters helps ensure that our neighbors do not have to face hunger alone."
Haulin' 4 Hunger makes quarterly deliveries of nonperishable meals to food pantries near ATG locations in Lancaster, Lebanon and Seabrook, N.H., as well as near dealerships in Raynham and Westfield, Mass., and in Westminster, Vt.
"We are proud to continue expanding our fresh meal donation program to more local organizations that help bridge the gap for those struggling to put food on their table," says ATG President and CEO Kevin G. Holmes. "Haulin' 4 Hunger is a reflection of what is possible when our employees, customers and business partners come together to support our communities."
ATG's efforts are supported by its employers and business partners, including Global Partners, Dennis K. Burke, UniBank, Cummins, G. Lopes Construction, Railers HC and SelecTrucks of New England.
