Hdma LogoThe Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA) has announced its 2017 HDMA chairman, board officers and directors.

The HDMA board of directors is responsible for the strategic direction, performance and member satisfaction of the members of the organization. HDMA’s strategic mission is to advance the commercial vehicle supplier industry and the business interests of its members.

During an announcement of the changes at Heavy Duty Aftermarket Dialogue last week, Tim Kraus, HDMA president and COO, formally acknowledged the significant contributions of 2015-16 outgoing HDMA chairman, Tim Myers, executive vice president and Group President, Arconic Transportation and Construction Solutions. During his two-year tenure as chairman, HDMA says Myers focused his efforts as chairman of HDMA on its core globalization efforts, advanced vehicle technology and government advocacy strategies, producing significant results during his term.

Myers thanked the audience of 350+ industry executives and the 187 HDMA member companies in attendance for their support and introduced the incoming 2017 HDMA chairman, Tim Musgrave, president and CEO of Pressure Systems International (PSI).

Musgrave also thanked the association members and board for their support and confidence and vowed to take advocacy and supplier leadership to a higher level in the global commercial vehicle industry. He also encouraged HDMA member executives and their staff to become even more actively involved with HDMA and MEMA industry activities.

HDMA says Musgrave has served on its board of directors since 2004, and has been a member of the executive committee since 2013. He plays an active role in the HDMA board’s strategic planning group and has also been an active participant in HDMA and MEMA’s government affairs activities.

Musgrave graduated from Northwestern University, and started his career with KONO Radio/TV and KITY FM in San Antonio. After a brief stint as an airline pilot, he worked for The Quincy Lee companies and then started his own company, Musgrave Properties, in 1970 as a builder-developer. He helped create a ski resort infrastructure in Colorado before diving into the restaurant business, owning 11 restaurants through Texas. He joined PSI in 1997, and has contributed significant leadership and direction since, HDMA says.

Rob Phillips, president and COO of Phillips Industries, and Dominic Grote, president and CEO of Grote Industries were also elected to three year terms to the 2017 HDMA board of directors.
