03 28 17 hortonBuilding on the initial development of its High-Efficiency, Hybrid-Flow (HEHF) fans, Horton on Tuesday announced the expansion of its current product line.

Combining the best features of axial-, mixed- and radial-flow technology, Horton says the new compact fans address customer demand for more efficient cooling packages and reduced noise.

Specifically designed to engage more of the radiator core through direct and focused airflow, Horton HEHF Fans move air more effectively around an engine and through the under-hood compartment. Horton says the innovative compact fan design maximizes cooling capacity by reducing the size of an engine’s overall cooling package. For the same airflow of an axial fan, the HEHF fan draws less power, improving efficiency. The hybrid-flow design and integrated shroud also improves airflow by more than 20 percent, while significantly reducing fan noise by up to 5 dB in vehicle testing, the company adds.

“The HEHF fan line offers an innovative solution that incorporates the best features of fan technologies to address the disadvantages seen in cooling packages today,” says Manish Virmani, vice president of Global Market Development for Horton. “With applications for both on- and off-highway vehicles and equipment, our HEHF fans maximize equipment productivity and minimize fuel expense, while providing the lowest noise output on the market today.”
