AFA Industries has released a oil pan adapter gasket for Cummins K/QS19 Series engines.
According to the company, this rubber edge molded steel gasket replaces the older composite style gasket and will improve the sealing of the oil pan adapter joint. By using the steel carrier with rubber edge molded technology, the sealing is improved by preventing capscrew loss at the oil pan adapter joint, the company says.
Additionally, AFA says its in-house manufacturing of molded rubber-edge steel gaskets combine a stamped steel support framework for rigidity along with an exclusive, technologically advanced rubber edge molding process. AFA says edge-bonded gaskets are used in areas of structural stress and high loading where the steel frame provides mechanical integrity while the rubber edge provides superior sealing
The company says part number A2888747 is available now and replaces part number A4000595.
