Diesel Forward announced Friday it has signed an agreement to purchase the assets of Southwest Diesel and Electrical Corporation. The closed date was Friday, Jan. 10, 2020.

Diesel Forward says this acquisition will strengthen the company’s presence in the Western Region. Both Diesel Forward and Southwest Diesel and Electrical Corporation distribute diesel engine parts for leading global manufacturers such as Alliant Power, BorgWarner, Bosch, Cummins, Delphi, Denso, Garrett, Holset, Mann + Hummel, Parker Racor, Stanadyne, and Yanmar into the aftermarket.

“This addition to the Diesel Forward family is a complementary expansion that will benefit our customers, employees and our suppliers,” says Houman Kashanipour, president, Diesel Forward. “Through this acquisition, we will expand our distribution, service reach and capabilities.

“Customers will have expanded access to service as well as product and technical support. We will continue to build on our leadership position in light-, medium- and heavy-duty diesel engine and aftertreatment component distribution.”

Diesel Forward adds the acquisition supports the company’s mission of being recognized within the independent aftermarket as the leader in distribution and service of diesel engine and aftertreatment components — strengthening the company’s value, enhancing the knowledge base of its employees and maintaining long-term relationships with our suppliers.
