Old River recently hosted an open house to celebrate its new multi-million-dollar expansion at its Baton Rouge, La., dealership.
Old River says the event was well attended with representatives from Volvo and the Louisiana Motor Transport Association (LMTA) in attendance. Founded in 1982, Old River Companies is based in Richland, Miss., and services Mississippi and Louisiana with Volvo, Mack, Hino and Isuzu trucks.
Old River CEO Lee White says, “We are very excited to invest in the North Baton Rouge market. It has been an extremely good location for us for over 11 years and when the decision came as to whether to relocate or to do a major renovation, it was the consensus of our entire management team that we would expand the present facility and renovate.
"After two years of renovations and millions of dollars later, we couldn’t be any more pleased with the outcome. This new and update facility will serve our Volvo customers well for several years as well as our exceptional work force. Old River is committed to investing back in the Baton Rouge market and the City of Baton Rouge,” White adds.
