Prevost opened an $8.1 million service center for motorcoaches in Elk Grove Village, Ill., on Friday.
"This expansion reflects Prevost's commitment to strengthening its service network in 2026 and 2027," says Kevin Dawson, vice president of commercial operations. "Through this investment, Prevost is enhancing service capacity, improving the customer experience and helping keep coaches on the road."
The new site expands the facility from 9,000 sq.-ft., to 29,000 sq.-ft., including more parts storage space and more service bays.
"This new service center, located just five miles from our previous site, marks a major step forward in our ability to support customers," says Rob Senne, branch manager. "With significantly more space, greater service capacity and a location designed around customer convenience, we are well positioned to deliver the high level of support Prevost customers count on."
It also features a customer lounge and leased parking for 60 vehicles.
"By tripling the size of its Chicago-area service operations, Prevost is positioning Elk Grove Village as a key hub in its growing North American service network, says Gov. JB Pritzker. "This $8.1 million investment will expand service capacity and build on Illinois' strong economic partnership with Quebec."
The site will be supported by 10 mobile service vans and a technician available around the clock. Eventually, Prevost says, the site will also offer extended operating hours.
The Illinois site is part of a broader expansion strategy that includes a mobile service unit in Las Vegas and a new facility in North Carolina that is expected to open next year.
