iTA Truck Sales and Service announced the completion of its acquisition of Timmons Truck Center in Baton Rouge, making this the sixth International truck dealership under the iTA umbrella.
The agreement includes the exclusive rights to sell International trucks and IC buses manufactured by Navistar. The iTA operation in Baton Rouge also includes Idealease, which leases and rents more than 500 International trucks to local businesses, the company says.
The transaction includes 7.5 acres and a more than 44,000 sq.-ft. facility for the company to operate in at 763 O’Neal Lane in Baton Rouge.
“This acquisition positions iTA Truck Sales and Service as the leading medium-duty truck dealership in South Louisiana and expands our footprint from Lake Charles to New Orleans,” says iTA CEO Christopher Schouest. “As the largest International dealership in Louisiana, we see tremendous growth opportunity in the industry and the region. Other International dealerships under the iTA umbrella include locations in Houma, Lafayette, Lake Charles, New Orleans and Slidell.
