The Gilbert and Vanguard teams will work closely to ensure a smooth transition. Vanguard says it plans to retain all existing employees, with Gilbert Truck Center President Tony Gilbert continuing to lead the business post-closing.

“I am proud of the reputation and customer base we have built here in Macon and am confident that we are placing our employees and customers in the best possible hands,” says Gilbert.

Post-acquisition, Vanguard now has more than 900 employees and 26 locations across Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Texas, Missouri, Illinois and Arizona.
