Peterbilt, at the North American Commercial Vehicle show in Atlanta Tuesday, announced the debut of a dealer certification program.

Peterbilt’s Platinum Service Center program will score each dealer location on several objective performance factors including the dealership’s facilities — including driver’s lounges — utilization of Paccar Solutions service management, expanded service hours, parts availability, number of certified MX engine technicians, dwell time for repairs and use of Paccar’s Rapid Check triage.

Jason Skoog, Peterbilt general manager and Paccar vice president noted Platinum Service Center certified dealers will have dedicated significant resources to providing superior service in every aspect of dealing with the business.

Dealers who achieve the Platinum Service Center certification will be designated at the annual Peterbilt Dealer Meeting in February and receive a special designation in Peterbilt’s Dealer Locator on the company’s website.

Skoog noted Peterbilt dealer locations have grown by 63 percent since 2009, adding service bays are up 85 percent and capital spending is up 400 percent.
