Meet The Service Company, a DOTY finalist for the second time

“We want to be your one-stop shop for everything you need to keep you on the road.”

DotyThe Trucks, Parts, Service Distributor of the Year award program has returned!

Once again graciously sponsored by Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network (CVSN), CumminsHigh Bar BrandsInterstate Billing Service and Procede Software, this year’s program features three prior finalists and two operations in the running for aftermarket's highest honor for the time. These finalists were selected by input from the independent aftermarket and trucking industry during an open nomination period earlier this year.

In the months ahead, TPS will consistently spotlight our finalists and their wonderful operations, recognizing and congratulating them for their success leading up to the presentation of the 25th Distributor of the Year Award at Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week in January in Grapevine, Texas.

We continue today with The Service Company, a finalist for Distributor of the Year for the second time (2024). Parts For Trucks was previously featured last week.

How does your business recruit new employees?

Mostly we use word of mouth, LinkedIn and Indeed. Word of mouth has been most successful. We have a referrals program with our employees and tech schools through our toolbox program.

What is your company’s value proposition?

Bumper-to-bumper truck and trailer repair and parts sales, We want to be your one-stop shop for everything you need to keep you on the road.

Do you offer any additional services to complement your parts offering?

We have a full service shop at every location that does everything from engine, aftertreatment, electrical, diagnostic, body and collision repair, drivetrain, driveline service, DPF cleaning and trailer repair. We also offer mobile onsite.

How do you differentiate your business from your competitors?

The two most important areas to us are our employees and our customers. We try to invest quality, service, integrity and effort into both and the results follow.

What is the biggest challenge facing your business in 2026?

Our biggest challenge is developing and maintaining an ongoing recruiting, leadership and training program for each of our departments.

Why do you believe the heavy-duty aftermarket has nominated you for this award?

I feel like we were nominated for this award due to our involvement in the industry, the associations we put effort into to move the industry forward and our efforts to do the best job we can as a distributor to support the supplier and the customer.

We will continue our Distributor of the Year program with profiles of each finalist operation later this year.
