Kalmar Ottawa presents dealer awards

Terminal tractor manufacturer Kalmar Ottawa recently announced its 2016 Dealer award winner.

The 2016 Kalmar Ottawa Presidents Awards were given to dealerships that excelled in total sales and total sales growth for trucks and parts in 2016, the company says. The awards were presented last month at the company’s dealer meeting.

Yard Truck Specialists of Bensalem, Pa., won the President’s Award in Total Truck Sales and Total Parts Sales. Ottawa Trucks Center, headquartered in Miami, Fla., was announced as the winner of the President’s Award for Total Truck Sales Growth, while Briggs Equipment Gulf Coast Division of Houston, Texas took the award for Total Parts Sales Growth.

Each year, Kalmar Ottawa names its top dealerships as, “Premier Partners” and 2016 was no different. There was, however, a newcomer announced in this group along with several dealerships who regularly hear their names when this award is given, the company says.

Eagle Mark IV from Mansfield, Ohio became an authorized dealer in 2016 and was also named as a Premier Partner in their first year. Also claiming the 2016 Premier Partner designation were Westfall GMC of Kansas City, Mo., TCI of Phoenix, Ariz., Reliable Trailer Systems, Inc., from Indianapolis, Ind., Ottawa Trucks Center, Mid-Pacific Industries of Woodland, Calif., MasonLift of Annacis Island, B.C., Louisville Switching of Louisville, Ky., Briggs Equipment East Division of Atlanta, Ga., Briggs Equipment North Texas/Mid-South Division of Dallas, Texas and Briggs Equipment Gulf Coast Division. Both the Premier Partner and the President’s Awards feature beautiful die-struck medallions set in optically perfect sparkling crystal, the company says.

At the annual tent sale held each year as part of the Kalmar Ottawa Dealer Meeting, a record number of trucks were sold and the company held a drawing for a very special prize: a new Kalmar Ottawa T2 Terminal Tractor, valued at over $100,000. The winner of the truck was The Lilly Company of Tupelo, Miss., the company says.
