ConMet honored for supplier excellence

ConMet is pleased to announce that five of its facilities have been awarded the Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) 2016 Masters of Quality Supplier award – the highest honor the company gives to its suppliers.

“The Masters of Quality award winners represent the ‘best of the best’ amongst our suppliers; we really appreciate their hard work and commitment since they are a key element to our enduring success,” says Jeff Allen, senior vice president, Production, Quality and Specialty Vehicles at DTNA.

To ensure only top suppliers receive the award, DTNA says it carefully tracks the performance of each of their suppliers throughout the year and scores them based on delivery times, technology, value, and overall quality.

ConMet’s President Mike Swiderski says, “We are incredibly proud to be honored with the DTNA Masters of Quality Supplier award, year after year. Daimler Trucks North America has been an important partner, and we look forward to continuing to provide them with the highest quality parts, reliable delivery schedules, and exceptional all-around service for many years to come.”

Because of ConMet’s exceptional scores and commitment to continuous improvement in 2016, the company was honored with the award at three of its production plants – including its wheel end plant in Monroe, N.C., which received the award 27 times in the past 30 years.
