ATD holding webinar on ELD compliance for dealers

Updated Nov 26, 2017

The American Truck Dealers (ATD) will host a free webinar, “Electronic Logging Compliance for Dealers,” at 3 p.m. ET next Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017.

The hour-long webinar will provide commercial truck dealerships with compliance-focused information on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) electronic logging device (ELD) rule. Issued in December 2015, the rule requires most commercial-truck drivers covered by record-of-duty status (ROD) mandates to use ELDs in lieu of paper logs by Dec. 18, 2017.

ATD says a truck dealership rental/leasing manager, along with experts from the FMCSA, will review the rule’s requirements as applied to commercial-truck dealerships. Special focus will be given to exemptions and rental and leasing operations, so ATD warns dealers to have questions ready.
