Dunlop Truck Centre Ltd., will hold a Customer Appreciation Day on June 20, 2018 in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
As part of the event, Dunlop Truck Centre says a 50/50 drawing will be held with all proceeds and donations from the event benefiting the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign.
“It is always wonderful to see corporations take the initiative to support local charities, such as the YMCA,” says Helene Nicholson, philanthropy director at the YMCA of Medicine Hat. “Investing in the YMCA of Medicine Hat means that others will have the opportunity to access programs, services and facilities.”
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the YMCA of Medicine Hat will be on site, grilling up free food for anyone who wishes to attend. An annual fundraiser, the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign focuses on raising much-needed resources to give kids the opportunities they need to reach their full potential, the organization states. Funds raised are available to kids, families and individuals to access YMCA facilities and programs, such as overnight and summer camps.
“Camp is a wonderful opportunity that allows children to foster new relationships and improve their physical, mental, emotional and social skills,” says Nicholson.
Thanks to the Strong Kids Campaign, the YMCA last year provided $97,205 in membership financial assistance and $31,473 in camp financial assistance.
