West Michigan International opened its newest location with a grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting last week.
In attendance were officials from the Texas Township, Midwest Construction, local customers and officials from Navistar corporate, including CEO Troy Clarke.
West Michigan International says its new facility at 5380 International Dr.., in Kalamazoo, Mich., is more than 56,000 sq.-ft. The facility will bring 17 new jobs and a $6.7 million investment into the community. Some features include:
- New and used truck sales
- Service department with 14 bays plus a wash bay and detail bay
- Alignment rack
- Complete body shop with 8 bays, paint booth and frame straightening rack
- Lease and rental
- Parts department with parts delivery and a warehouse to stock plenty of parts
- Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) cleaning and maintenance is available at this location
At last week’s celebration, guests were able to tour the facility, have lunch, mingle with supplier partners and have a little fun with a race car simulator and view the Shell NASCAR race car, among other things. West Michigan International adds its expert employees look forward to serving and working with the Kalamazoo community.
The new location is open 7 a.m. to 12 a.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday for parts and service. The body shop is open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, the sales department is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.
