Volvo Truck's Design For Its 2019 Ride For Freedom TruckVolvo Trucks and Mack Trucks are honoring military personnel with trucks featuring custom designs.

Volvo Trucks’ New River Valley (NRV) assembly plant in Dublin, Va., unveiled the design of its 2019 Ride for Freedom truck. The custom-designed VNL 760 will lead a motorcade of motorcycles past 900,000 bystanders from the plant to Washington, D.C., during the annual “Run for the Wall” Ride for Freedom motorcycle rally Memorial Day weekend.

This marks the 28th year NRV employees and the UAW Local 2069 Veterans Committee have supported the event, Volvo says. The truck, Volvo’s VNL 760 long-haul tractor features custom-designed graphics that honor America, the United States military and the men and women who served with the slogan, “All veterans need a welcome home, and a place to reflect. Until they have a wall of their own, it’s only right to share ours.”

A Mack Anthem Model Featuring A Custom Designed, Military Themed WrapA Mack Anthem model featuring a custom-designed, military-themed wrap was recently unveiled as part of “NASCAR Salutes Refreshed by Coca-Cola,” an annual NASCAR industry campaign to express gratitude and respect for the men and women who serve in the United States armed forces, as well as honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice defending freedom.

“Mack Trucks is honored to stand alongside NASCAR as we recognize our country’s bravest heroes and their families,” says John Walsh, Mack Trucks marketing vice president. “Mack has a long history of supporting our armed forces, and we’re proud to partner with NASCAR on this important effort.”
