Pilot Flying J prepares to introduce real-time maintenance portal

1 2019 03 11 13 03 300x247Pilot Flying J announced Monday it will integrate a new virtual maintenance system into its Truck Care service platform next month, providing fleets with real-time visibility and added flexibility to manage equipment.

The centralized portal, dubbed Fleet Center, allows customers to schedule services, generate and authorize work orders and receive detailed cost of repair estimates. It also dispenses live status updates for en-route, on-site and roll times and offers a live chat feature, connecting customers with a Truck Care representative. Paperwork is reduced and record accuracy improved with full access to service history and transaction details.

“Our goal is to remove the stress and complexity of managing fleet service and get drivers back on the road as quickly as possible by providing our customers a window into their Truck Care account at the touch of a button,” says Dave Latimer, vice president of shop strategies and operations, Pilot Flying J Truck Care.

Rolled out in 2017, Pilot Flying J Truck Care continues to grow with 24 service centers and more than 135 roadside assistance vehicles in 36 states.

The company says it also is now offering a simplified, competitive pricing structure for preventative maintenance services.
