CDK Global names new chief product, technology officer

CDK Global announces Mahesh Shah, 43, has joined the company as executive vice president, chief product and technology officer (CPTO). Shah officially began this role on April 22, and will be based in the organization’s new San Jose office.

”Bringing more than 20 years of technology industry experience, I am thrilled to welcome Mahesh to CDK,” says Brian Krzanich, president and CEO, CDK Global. “I am confident that he has the talent, expertise and fresh perspective necessary to lead our innovation and R&D roadmap as we continue to pursue a growth strategy and modernize the industry’s core technologies.”

As CPTO, Shah will accelerate innovation, research and development, and building and testing for our product portfolio. Shah joins CDK from DXC Technology, where he most recently served as senior vice president and general manager of applications and global business process services, CDK says.

“CDK is in a unique position to bring innovative technology that will solve the evolving automotive industry’s broad challenges, as well as the distinct obstacles facing our customers,” says Shah. “I have a great deal of trust in and respect for Brian Krzanich, and I am honored and eager to work under his leadership to develop technology that enables CDK to create great experiences for our dealer partners, OEMs and their customers.”

Prior to DXC Technology, Shah spent 16 years, in various roles at Hewlett Packard Enterprises. He also earlier was a senior consultant for IBM Global Services, the company adds.
