U.S. Rep. Mark Amodei (R-Nev.) recently visited TEC Equipment in Sparks, Nev., to discuss the onerous federal excise tax (FET) on heavy-duty trucks and trailers with the dealership General Manager Dave Lundy.

After the visit, Rep. Amodei agreed to support H.R. 2381, a bill to repeal the 12 percent FET on trucks and trailers.

“It was an honor meeting and getting to know Congressman Amodei and informing him about the FET and what TEC Equipment does to support truck buyers in the Reno area,” Lundy says.

“All of our dealership employees appreciate his leadership to get rid of this 102-year-old tax and getting cleaner and safer new trucks on the road,” Lundy adds.
