West Michigan International, K&R Truck Sales and Idealease of West Michigan recently held their annual charity campaign to raise money and donate to local charities.
This year’s event brought in $12,000 and the three charities of Be Nice, Gilda’s Club and Outdoor Discovery Center each receiving $4,000.
West Michigan International says a special parts campaign is run for two months in the summer and at the end 10 percent or more of the parts sales are donated to the selected charities. Many customers, suppliers and employees get involved to help raise money for these charities. Each year there are a different group of local charities selected, the company says. This year there were five suppliers that had a share in the contribution; Delco, Fleetrite, JOST International, Meritor and Shell.
“It is a really great thing to see so many interested in sharing in our charity events. We look forward to this every year and we are grateful to be able to have a share in giving back to our local charities. This is important to us,” says Ed Rietman, dealer principal, West Michigan International/K&R Truck Sales/Idealease of West Michigan. “We are thankful to our customers, employees and supplier partners that are supportive during our annual charity campaigns.”
