Peterbilt says its Dealer of the Year Award is given to the dealer group that best represents Peterbilt’s commitment to excellence and the never-ending pursuit of driving uptime for our customers.

“Over the last three decades, TLG Peterbilt has made significant investments in their business. They’ve expanded their footprint, adding over 21 facilities, three of which were added in 2019 alone. Their continuous commitment to putting the customer first has paid off by making them one of the top performing dealer groups across several key metrics,” says Jason Skoog, Paccar vice president and Peterbilt general manager. “Their commitment to driving uptime for our customers clearly exemplifies their dedication to excellence and to representing the Peterbilt brand and products in a way we all take pride in. I thank and congratulate TLG Peterbilt for this achievement.”

In addition to the 2019 Dealer of the Year, TLG Peterbilt took home a 2019 Best-in-Class award, which honors the dealer organizations that rank the highest across the North American dealer network. Peterbilt says TLG Peterbilt also earned the Service Dealer Group of the Year award as well as five Platinum Oval awards, which are given to the elite Peterbilt dealership locations that have demonstrated outstanding performance during the previous year.

“Winning Peterbilt’s Dealer of the Year Award is an honor and I’d like to thank all our hard working employees and our customers who have made our business successful,” says Glenn Larson, principal, TLG Peterbilt. “This marks the sixth time in 22 years we have been named Peterbilt North American Dealer of the Year, recognizing our long-term commitment and belief in building relationships with employees and customers for life.”

This is TLG Peterbilt’s sixth Dealer of the Year award, adding it to their awards in 2015, 2009, 2006, 2003 and 1998, Peterbilt says.

TLG Peterbilt also announced Tuesday it has completed its first and largest construction phase for extensive updates and additions at its Cincinnati, Ohio location. The expansion began with a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony last September.

Led by Cincinnati Commercial Contracting, the first phase of construction has expanded the TLG Peterbilt of Cincinnati dealership location by 28,000 sq.-ft. The new square footage contains modern office spaces, an expanded service department, and a parts showroom and warehouse, the company says.

“TLG is very excited to deliver this new state-of-the-art facility to not only our customers but also to our dedicated team members,” says Brad McDonald, general manager. “Phase I has already given this dealership more opportunities, so all of us are thrilled to see what the second phase will bring.”

The second phase, initially slated to be completed in the fall of 2020, is now expected to be completed in April. TLG has begun demoing existing office space to make room for a 20,000 sq.-ft. building that will add a minimum of 13 wash and compressed natural gas (CNG) service bays.

“Even under construction, this dealership already looks cutting-edge. This is what a Peterbilt dealership is supposed to look and feel like. The transformation so far has been remarkable,” says Mike Thurston, regional vice president.

Technicians and management staff will have access to an all-new tool and parts warehouse, which will ensure the resources drivers need to get back on the road are always just a few steps away. Customers will have access to a newly expanded service section that includes a top-notch driver break room and lounge, TLG Peterbilt says.

“A new building marks the success of TLG. It’s going to be a nice visual marker and a reminder of how far we’ve come as a dealer network,” says Thurston.
