The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):
- Autocar is recalling certain 2019 Xpeditor vehicles up-fitted with an aftermarket power take off (PTO). These vehicles may stall or hesitate when operated from the right side stand up position with the PTO system engaged. A stall or hesitation can cause the vehicle to drift backwards, increasing the risk of a crash, personal injury or property damage. NHTSA says potentially 78 vehicles are affected by this recall.
- Chrysler is recalling certain 2019-2020 Ram 1500 vehicles equipped with adjustable pedals. In certain accelerator pedal positions, the floormats may prevent the pedal from returning to the normal resting (idle) position. A pedal that does not return as expected may affect the vehicle’s deceleration, thereby increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says potentially 160,229 vehicles are affected by this recall.
