Meritor WABCO announced Monday that it has been named the standard position steer axle service brake chamber supplier for all Daimler Trucks North America air brake vehicles.
“Our strength is in engineering parts for optimized performance,” said Jon Morrison, president and general manager of Meritor WABCO. “This allows truck manufacturers to reduce the cost of ownership and increase payload capability.”
Meritor WABCO service brakechambers allow for increased efficiency through smaller packaging, lighter weight and increased durability. The company said benefits include a compact reliable design featuring full crimped and sealed chambers, compact and improved corrosion protection.
Production began in October for use on front axle truck applications.
