TSE Brakes debuts VCT air brake actuators

VCTTSE Brakes, Inc., introduces VCT (Variable Clocking Technology) air brake actuators, which TSE says features easier installation, better chamber sealing and fewer necessary model numbers.

“Now you can freely spin the ports during installation and then secure with one bolt. Not only does the feature save time with installation, but it also allows our customers to stock fewer models because the port locations are now variable instead of left hand or right hand,” says Jean Gregoire, TSE Brakes director, North American Aftermarket Sales and Marketing. “Also, our customers told us that at times air brake actuators are less efficient because they are not always properly sealed by the installer. The beauty of the innovative VCT design is that we factory seal the diaphragm, so the installer is no longer required to get the best possible seal.”

TSE says it is offering complete units or piggyback units featuring the VCT design. The company says benefits include up to 75 percent less installation time, less inventory, less shared leak responsibility, and less chance for improper installation. Six model numbers can handle virtually every TSE Brakes actuator installation. The piggyback kit includes four pieces versus competitors’ eight to make installation even easier. VCT models are available on UltraLife and OmniBrake air brake actuator models.
