National Technician Appreciation Week is Sept. 22-28.
Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems says technicians are critical to the trucking industry and to America's economy.

"Commercial vehicles of every type are kept rolling by dedicated professionals whose skills help enhance the safety of their fleet, the drivers and the roads we all share," says Nicole Oreskovic, vice president of sales and marketing at Bendix. "It's a growing opportunity in a vital field, as the role of the professional technician has become more complex, more diverse and more challenging thanks to the exponential leap in technologies present on today's commercial vehicles. Without trucks, America stops — and without technicians, trucks stop. We're incredibly grateful for all they do."
National Technician Appreciation Week is sponsored by the American Trucking Associations (ATA) and the Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC). It celebrates the hard work and commitment of professional technicians and helps to attract the prospective talent.
"Technicians are part of the backbone of the trucking industry," says TMC Executive Director Robert Braswell. "Without. them, making sure vehicles are ready for service and in safe condition, drivers can't make the deliveries we rely on. This is the perfect time for our industry and the general public to show their appreciation and say thank you to these important individuals and the valuable work they do."
