The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) will host a free webinar for service technicians at 4 p.m. ET, April 25, titled “A Fluid Discussion on DEF and Coolants.”
Joseph Long of Old World Industries will provide detailed information on DEF and today's coolants. ASE says discussion points include:
- DEF characteristics
- How a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) catalyst works
- Simple shop test procedures for DEF
- The evolution of coolants
- Factory fill and colors
- Shop testing procedures
- How Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) coolants will be different
Interested parties can register for the event on the ASE website. After registering, a confirmation email will be sent containing information about joining the webinar. Those who are not sure if they can attend are encouraged to register as they will receive a follow-up email with details on how to attend a recorded session, if available, ASE adds.
