Betts Truck Parts adds alignment equipment to service offering

Betts Truck Parts & Service has added Bee Line computer alignment to its service offering for heavy-duty vehicles.

According to Betts, Bee Line’s computerized alignment systems use lasers that provide more accurate alignment than manual or infrared sensors.
Utilizing this system, Betts Truck Parts & Service says it can provide service customers with complete alignment of steer, drive and trailer axles.

Bee Line laser alignment service is available at all five California service locations in Fontana, Fresno, Sacramento, Santa Fe Springs, and San Leandro. Following the recently completed installation of Bee Line laser alignment systems in Phoenix, Ariz. and Portland, Ore., all service locations for Betts Truck Parts & Service now have the service available for customers, the company says.

“Axle alignment is necessary to set wheels and tires in the optimum position for maximum tire performance,” said John Devany, sales manager, Betts Truck Parts and Service. “Sadly this maintenance item is too often ignored, causing costly and premature tire wear and failure. Bee Line lasers are among the most accurate alignment readings available. While most systems only measure to one hundredths of an inch (0.01), Bee Line uses a system capable of measuring alignment variables to five thousandths of an inch (0.005).”

Devany points out that all alignments done using the Bee Line system are automatically stored in the company’s computer system, providing ready reference when an updated alignment is needed.
