Recall report: Ram trucks may exceed tire speed rating; Hexagon Purus recalls some new Class 8 trucks

Safety Recalls

The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA): 

  • Hexagon Purus is recalling certain 2025-2026 Tern RC8 Class 8 trucks. The digital display may show the incorrect air brake pressure, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 17 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Storyteller Overland is recalling certain 2023 Beast Mode, Classic and Stealth adventure vans. Improperly routed coolant lines may cause a loss of drive power and increase the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 357 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Nova Bus is recalling certain 2022-2023 LFS transit buses. The telemetry control unit installed in parallel with the vehicle monitoring system may cause a data overload. NHTSA says 40 units are potentially affected.
  • Grand Design RV is recalling certain 2025-2026 Lineage recreational vehicles. The driver and passenger seat bases may not have been tightened properly. NHTSA says 426 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Braun Corporation is recalling certain 2026 Ram ProMaster vehicles. The rear bench may have only two of four seat legs installed. NHTSA says 14 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Shyft Group is recalling certain 2025 Utilimaster Velocity vehicles. The incorrect vehicle load value may be listed on the vehicle cargo carrying capacity label. NHTSA says 101 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Winnebago Industries is recalling certain 2026-2027 Solis recreational vehicles. The liquid propane hose may be incorrectly routed over the exhaust heat shield. NHTSA says 155 units are potentially affected by the recall.
  • Chrysler is recalling certain 2023-2026 Ram 2500 pickup trucks. A software error in the powertrain control module may improperly allow the vehicle speed to exceed the tire speed rating, which can result in a loss of vehicle control. NHTSA says 12,736 units are potentially affected by the recall.
