Continental Tire has partnered with myMechanic, Inc. a roadside management platform to connect fleets, Continental’s dealer network and roadside service providers through a single digital workflow.

Continental says the goal of the partnership is to cut down on manual follow-up and disconnected information that typically slow down a roadside breakdown by maintaining contact from initial service request through dispatch, status updates documentation, and reporting.

“This partnership is about making roadside service easier to manage without changing the relationships fleets and dealers already rely on. Continental brings an incredible network and deep industry experience. myMechanic brings the technology to connect the process,” says Alex Bezzubets, found and CEO at myMechanic.

“At Continental, we believe the future of roadside service is digital, connected and open. By partnering with myMechanic, we are creating a seamless service experience that improves fleet uptime while helping our trusted dealer network grow through new service opportunities,” adds Niklas Vauth, head of digital transformation, Truck Tires Americas at Continental Tire.

The companies report technical integration and initial onboarding between the two companies are underway and already operational. The partnership supports myMechanic’s broader goal of building an agnostic connected maintenance ecosystem for commercial fleets, pairing Continental’s established tire and dealer network with myMechanic’s fleet-service technology, the companies state.

Additionally, the partnership builds on a year of expansion for myMechanic. In June, the company launched Dealer-Connect, a digital dispatch layer that routes fleet road calls directly to tire dealers without an added app, login, portal, or call center handoff. myMechanic has also recently joined the Platform Science marketplace, Samsara, Thermo King, Carrier and more to give fleets using their telematics platforms direct access to its network of repair providers, the company says.
