Here we go again. For the 11th time, Trucks, Parts, Service is excited to reveal our annual list of the top products released into the trucking industry this calendar year.
As is our tradition, the ten products we will feature in the coming days were selected by reader engagement on our website. Every product we will showcase first graced our website earlier in the year, and is returning into the spotlight thanks to interest by our audience.
Milwaukee Tool earned the top spot on our countdown last year, its third time finishing atop our list — most in program history. Milwaukee will be featured in our countdown again in 2024 but a repeat at the top is not in the cards. A new company will finish on top of our 2024 countdown.
Beginning today and running through Dec. 31 (save Dec. 25) we will reveal one top product each day leading up to the most popular new product of the year. This year's countdown will feature returning companies and several first-time participants, and we begin with the latter.
Milton Industries Specialty Tool Group makes its first appearance on our countdown at No. 10 for its May release of its bi-directional Air Hammer/Air Puller tool, the AirStrike.
Milton states its new tool comes equipped with a piston air lock plug. When inserted into the front of the air hammer, the company says it moves the energy from the front (punch) to the rear (pull), converting the tool to an incredibly powerful pneumatic puller. Plus, a vibration dampener reduces user discomfort and fatigue. Additionally, the tool’s one-handed operation lets techs hold parts with their free hand, allowing for controlled component removal without parts and fluids falling to the floor.
“The original 2,100 BPM bi-directional air-hammer was introduced six years ago and was very well received,” says Jeffrey Del Rossa, general manager, Specialty Tool Group. “The new LT955AH delivers more power and a more effective rapid-fire punch and pulling format that’s ideal for pulling seals, harmonic balancers, flanges and just about anything else. The AirStrike can even separate framing lumber for the commercial and residential construction industries.” Look for additional accessories to pull stuck fuel injectors and even front and rear wheel bearings for any vehicle.”
