The aftermarket's top products of 2023: No. 1

For the third time in four years, Milwaukee Tool has claimed the top spot on our TPS top products countdown.

The company returns to our top spot after finishing second, fourth and sixth in last year's countdown. Since first making our list at No. 4 in 2018, Milwaukee Tool has finished first three times (2020, 2021, 2023) and second three times (2019, 2021, 2022) and has three other appearances.

The company's new M18 FUEL 1/2-in., high torque impact wrenches released in September claim the top spot on this year's list after garnering an astonishing 54,000-plus page views during the calendar year. That total is good for fourth on entire website, and more than triple our runner-up finisher Valvoline.

2967 21 F 102 64f758c83d841According to Milwaukee Tool, the new wrenches feature a brushless motor with up to 1,500 ft.-lb., of torque, a M18 REDLITHIUM XC5.0 battery, and, with the new M18 REDLITHIUM FORGE XC6.0 battery, 1,600 ft.-lb., of torque. Milwaukee says that's the lightest and most compact high torque impact wrench on the market.

New models of the wrench also have redesigned materials and processing with an integrated battery isolation system to control high-frequency vibrations, preventing damage and ensuring a constant connection while the tool is in use, the company says.

"The next-generation M18 FUEL high torque impact wrenches raise the bar from what is expected out of high torque impact wrenches," says Eric Rusch, director of product marketing for Milwaukee Tool. "Through research in the field, we saw how users required not only more power, but a solution with more versatility and features to improve efficiency. Milwaukee is disrupting the impact wrench industry again as these new wrenches deliver the best combination of power, speed, length and feature set  providing the best high torque impact wrench solutions for our users."
