Bulldog HD Shocks introduce its Ultra Premium BULLDOG HD shocks product line.
According to Bulldog, the company's new premium shocks are engineered to mitigate current shock failures and impacts. Having underperforming shocks can cause unscheduled maintenance, driver fatigue, premature failure of surrounding components, and uneven tire wear. Bulldog says an underperforming shock can not only cause loss of revenue due to increased downtime but can also cause safety issues. The company also notes according to FMCSA’s Large Truck Crash Study, 13 percent of truck accidents are due to driver fatigue.
Bulldog HD Shocks understands the importance of premium quality and extended performance life. According to the TMC and FleetNet America studies, there has been a 20 percent increase in unscheduled maintenance costs since 2018. Bulldog says the increase in costs and scarcity of specialized labor for repairs emphasizes the importance of shocks and other components to extend performance life and reduce unplanned maintenance costs.
The Bulldog shock program was fully engineered from the ground up. The company says engineers worked directly with top North American fleet maintenance technicians, across fleet vocations to determine root causes of premature on-vehicle shock failures. Most failure modes lead to expensive, unplanned vehicle downtime in addition to significantly reducing the service life of the part. Armed with this knowledge, the company says its product development team designed new and innovative performance features, along with utilizing advanced raw materials, to create a new line of best in class products.
