The trailer skirts and flap aim to optimize fuel economy. ZF says the products can bump fuel efficiency up by as much as 5%, reducing operating costs and help trucks to meet California Air Resource Board emissions standards.

The trailer skirts come in lengths from 134 to 259 inches and widths from 30 to 35 inches. Custom lengths and widths are available upon request. The skirts are also easy to install, ZF says, with patented one-bolt monoclamp technology.
Fairing support struts are made of durable, flexible polymer that makes the products flexible in hot and cold weather. Skirts are made from fiber-reinforced plastic panels that are designed to improve handling in cross winds as well as improve fuel efficiency. The skirts can also help reduce road spray on wet roads, ZF says.
The Trailer Skirt Classic is modular in design with six panels per side. It's EPA SmartWay compliant and is expandable for more fuel savings. These panels are made from lightweight injection-molded plastic with an optional flexible rubber edge. A special crank handle insert covers the landing gear as well, and these skirts also improve handling in cross winds and help reduce road spray.
